Bella is an eight year old second grader who loves writing, dancing, going to the beach and keeping an eye on her baby sister, RiRi. She recently won first place in her school literary contest with a fictional story called “The Mysterious Adventures of Doctor Spider and Super Cat”, which will become a new book from Barry Kids Books very soon. Bella is also a huge fan of the LSU Fighting Tigers.
Duke is a six year old about to complete kindergarten. Duke likes bugs, rock collecting, inventing, swimming and has recently taken up piano. Duke was honored at his school for his literary non-fiction short story entitled “My cracked Tibia” (Duke is a frequent visitor to the local emergency room). One evening after dinner, Duke and Bella were sitting around their backyard firepit talking about the concept of SHUSH! when their daddy decided to record the conversation. This is what ultimately became Duke and Bella’s first book, SHUSH!.
